The portal provides requisite tourist information and guidance to Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda’s tourism products. Additionally, it helps capture tourist experience before, during and after the trip to the three countries.
The envisioned East Africa Destination Portal caters for the needs of the following groups among others in the following ways:
Increase awareness of the region’s tourism products and other related tourism information and act as an interactive guide to the destination for research and conversion to bookings
Provide an avenue to link with consumers interested in visiting the region, a platform to showcase products and services; and access information on Exhibitions and road-shows, amongst other joint promotional campaigns.
Gain access to destination information such as; press releases, pictures, videos amongst other documents
Established by TradeMark East Africa in 2011, East Africa Tourism Platform (EATP) is a tourism private sector body promoting the interest and participation of the private sector in the East African Community (EAC) integration; and works very closely with the various Ministries and Tourism Boards in the respective member states. EATP is working towards a single and competitive tourism destination through adoption of a single destination brand, Single Tourist Visa, Joint Tourism Marketing Committee; with regional strategy and showcasing of our destination as one in tourism Expos.
